Auto Installation Instructions (using KIRE's Automated Installer)

The old getegg helper is dead. Do not run it. It is a 2013 dialog that still calls 1.8 "latest." It will give you a bad tree.

Install over SSH, manual path, current Eggdrop from geteggdrop.com. Follow Setting up an Eggdrop (the short version).

ssh you@your-kire-shell
wget https://geteggdrop.com -O eggdrop-latest.tar.gz

Then configure / make / make install DEST=~/botdir / ./eggdrop -m botnick.conf / ./scripts/autobotchk botnick.conf as in that article.

Need more than one bot? Each gets its own directory and conf. AUP: max 2 IRC connections per shell to a given network.
